When I was in Tokyo, I went to Ninja Akasaka. They have ninja-themed food and the waiters are dressed as ninjas. I also stayed in Takayama for a night. It has a nice old town that is interesting to walk around. Takayama is also known for sarubobo – the good luck charms. There were lots of them around.
