Sausages

When a food is popular in a country there is usually a wide variety of that kind of food.

For example, seafood is very popular in Japan and if you go to the supermarket, you can find a wide variety of seafood.

In Australia, barbecues are a popular way of cooking and sausages are very popular.

When I looked in the supermarkets in Japan it was hard to find much choice in the kind of sausage you could buy.

When I visited the local market near my apartment in Melbourne I was suprised by how many different kinds of sausages are now available.

As well as the normal beef, lamb, pork sausages, there were also the following kinds of sausages:

goat
lemon and oregano
chinese plum
moroccan lamb
spinach fetta
duck
satay
pork and apple
curry and rice
honey and mint lamb
tomato, basil and garlic beef

    Hi Aidan-san,

    Thanks for your mouth-watering entry!

    My favorite is chevapi.
So far the ones from Preston Market, I think, are the best. :)

    Hi Fumie.

I haven’t tried chevapi. I’ll have to give that one a go.

I go to the Prahran Market, which is near where I live.
