I’m back in Melbourne now.

I really like Hokkaido too. I visited there one summer when I was living in Japan.

Actually, next week I’ve got a short story coming out that is set in Hokkaido.

Hi Aidan – just found your blog. Our situation’s a little different… I’m married to one of those Japanese women that have moved to Australia (or more specifically, she moved because she married).

Anyhow – whereabouts are you these days? Are you currently living in Australia again?

BTW – Hokkaido rocks (my wife’s from Sapporo)

Hi, Aidan-san.
I found this posting very interesting, because I am one of those Japanese women you mentioned above.

Personally I like Australia for its openness, but also because there are more people who give me the chance to become part of the country and the local community.
I can make jokes and they don’t get offended that often.

It’s interesting to see Australian’s point of view.:)
