When people are writing text messages (or emails) in English on their mobile phones, they often use abbreviations (短縮). Here are a few examples.

See you tonight.
What r u doing 4 xmas?
What are you doing for Christmas?
Talk 2 u l8r.
Talk to you later.
Lets meet at 11 tmrw mng.
Let’s meet at 11 tomorrow morning.
R u home yet?
Are you home yet?
Y didnt u w8 4 me?
Why didn’t you wait for me?
Pls say thx 2 ur gf.
Please say thank you to your girlfriend.
Pls finish the rpt asap. Bc I need it 4 mtg tmrw.
Please finish the report as soon as possible. Because I need it for the meeting tomorrow.
